Migrating Birds

I was born & raised in the Jordan Valley, one of the world’s most important migratory pathways for birds. Twice a year, over 500 million migrating birds stop on the banks of the Jordan River to ‘rest/recuperate’ from their long journey from Europe to Africa. The image/sight of thousands of migrating birds gathering on the banks is is definitely one of my favourite childhood memories.
