Jerusalem Doors

Jerusalem is an ancient city, just walking through the narrow streets and alleys, one is immersed in history. The surrounding walls date to the rule of the Ottoman Sultan, Suleyman the Magnificent (1520-1566). The Old City boasts various architectural styles, reflecting the great diversity of cultures the city has witnessed over the past 2000 years. For me, the doors and doorways of Jerusalem bear witness to its ancient and richly diverse heritage. You will also find the Jaffa Gate in my portfolio which is the main entrance to the Old City, built by Suleyman in 1538.
